I have been MIA due to craziness with school! I am back for now for a quick review of Ben and Jerry's Red Velvet ice cream.
I love love love red velvet cake, I know they are really just a version of chocolate cake, but for some reason I am always so drawn to them!
When I saw this at Target, I knew I had no choice.
So how was it? It was okay, at first. And then, I just could't stop eating it. I find myself constantly looking for chunks of red velvet cake to scoop out. Eventually, each bite leads to another, and I am almost done with the pint.
What does it taste like? Well, it's creamy (duh, it's ice cream). I can taste the cream cheese frosting in every bite. It's actually really hard to describe because I have never had ice cream tasting like that before. I especially loved the chucks of actual cake, they are the best part in my opinion.
Is it worth a try? Sure, it's between 3-4 dollars a pint, so I definitely think it's worth it. You may love it or may not like it, but who cares, there is always someone around who's down to eat it if you don't like it (hint: me).

Apple Crumb Pie
Have you ever tried to make a homemade apple pie from scratch? yea, too time consuming, I agree. Unless you are a master baker, getting the right consistency of the dough, cutting the dough into strips and all that stuff just gets too complicated on a busy week schedule.
Well, I've got a great recipe for you! I made it before dinner on Thanksgiving Day and it only took 15 minute to put together! Everything is homemade, no store bought dough or filling (truthfully, I don't really like that kind of stuff unless I am beyond desperate). This apple crumb pie tastes so yummy, especially with a huge scoop of quality vanilla bean ice cream!
